As a wife, homeschool mom, home business owner, Sunday school teacher, Royal Rangers commander, and all of the other activities I do, I know all about stress! Oh and did I mention that my husband has been out of work for a month???
Stress….stress…stress! Let me tell you about something that has helped me!
In the past few weeks, I have experienced some situations that would normally stress me out completely but I have been taking the Stressless Tablets from Discovery Toys Family Lifestyle line and I can really feel the difference! I have had people attack my beliefs, question my intergrity and be just plain rude to me and I have been able to just let it roll. This is an all natural product that has really helped me to calm down and be able to deal with it. If you would like to try Stressless for yourself, you can order directly from my Discovery Toys (R) web site. Click on products and then Family Lifestyle or simply type Stressless in the search box.
Here is some info about Stressless:
The dietary ingredients in STRESSLESS, L-theanine, Rhodiola, Beta-Sitosterol and L-tyrosine, combine the best of nature and science to help relax the body and mind while promoting alertness. Taking 1 tablet daily, in conjunction with a healthy diet, exercise and good social support, will benefit adult women and men seeking a natural supplement to help them cope with the everyday stresses of modern life.*
Clinical studies of these ingredients show:
- L-theanine, a natural component of green tea, facilitates the generation of alpha waves that are associated with an alert, relaxed mental state.*
- Rhodiola rosea, also know as “roseroot”, is a plant indigenous to the high altitude regions of Europe and Asia. Rhodiola rosea has been categorized as an adaptogen by Russian researchers due to its observed ability to increase resistance to a variety of chemical, biological, and physical stressors.*
- Beta-Sitosterol, a natural plant sterol, helps to blunt the response of cortisol, a hormone produced during physical stress.*
- L-tyrosine, an amino acid, was found to lessen the impact of environmental stressors, such as loud noises, on the performance of subjects in a number of studies.*

We had a fabulous Friday today! To start with, the weather was great! We had some bad weather come through last night that made the temp drop and it was just beautiful today!
The kids have been asking me for awhile to let them paint their garden flags that I got from The Big Yellow Box a few months ago. The Big Yellow Box was a Crayola direct sales company that recently closed up shop. They had great products that helped people that weren’t very creative to make wonderful keepsake crafts! You can still find some of the products that had been available through their consultants on the Crayola Store website.
So anyway, the kids wanted to paint their Garden Flags today. Andrew wanted to do October, Amy wanted November (because her BD is in November!) and Alex wanted to do December. The kit came with stencils so they could paint a design theirselves or use one of the stencils. We didn’t want to use the design that was for December so Alex did the one for July instead
Here are some pictures of them painting and one of the October flag flying in the wind at the end of our driveway.

I also wanted to share this picture with you all today. We watch a little girl that is 11 months old and she loves my kids. We have cared for her since she was newborn and cared for her older sister from the time she was two until she started school this year. Today, while Amy was in the window seat in the living room, the baby was standing there talking to her and I took this picture with my cell phone. I just think it is precious so I wanted to share.

William and Alex are gone for the night. They are at River Rally which is an overnight camping trip that our Royal Rangers in the Memphis Section do every year. Alex loves the Royal Rangers program. We use a lot of the material during our home school time so he can work on earning more merits. He really wants to earn them all! He is such a go-getter so I know he will earn as many as he tries to! He finished his TN Hunter Safety Course last night so now we can do the work book pages for his Royal Rangers Fire Arm Safety Merit and he will get that one! I am so proud of him.
Tomorrow I have a Discovery Toys booth at the Brighton Day In The Park at the old Brighton High School so if you are in the area, come and see me! I have lots of products on hand to help you with your holiday shopping! Don’t forget that you can also host a party and get FREE toys for Christmas OR better yet, join my team and earn a great income! I am looking for seasonal part time reps and full time forever reps!
That is all for now. I will probably not post again until Monday. See ya then!
Well, this week has been a little crazier than normal.
To start with, my Aunt Tina called during my Sunday School class to let me know that she needed my help. Her 17 yr old daughter, Lori Beth had been admitted to the hospital with a mass on her ovary and she needed someone to watch the younger 2 children for a while. I happily obliged and from Sunday to Tuesday, we had them. They are ages 9 and 6 and were great! Their sister, is still in the hospital tonight but should be going home tomorrow. She had surgery on Monday and they removed a very large cyst. We are praying for a speedy recovery for her! She is very active in her school and will surely want to be back there soon!! Here is a picture of Lori Beth and me at her brother Zack’s going away to Army boot camp party a month ago. I got a letter from him today and I was SOOO excited! I can’t wait until he gets back home!!

My kids and I have been working on sorting out all of the toys that have come in lately. Here is a fun picture of them surrounded by SOME of the toys that have taken over our playroom!
Today, I found out that my uncle Randy (daddy’s brother) was in the hospital. He was having some chest pains and numbness. He went to the ER and they ran some tests. They decided to do a heart cath and discovered a 95% blockage so they put in a stint. We went by to see him after church tonight. He was very tired but said that he would be ok tomorrow.
I guess I am going to go to bed now. I have a lot to get done around here tomorrow and I have a Junior Auxiliary meeting tomorrow evening.
Until next time!

YAY! The temp is down and it actually feels like fall now. I am so excited because now it will feel great for the bonfire Friday night.
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I love the way it feels, looks and smells! Hmm…I suppose I like the way it tastes too…..yummy pumpkin pie, chili, soups, hot cider.. Come to think of it, I like the sound of leaves rustling. Wow! I see now why I like the fall so much! It is a SENSEational season!
I took my display to the Wee One’s Re-Runs Consignment Sale today in Covington. They have a TON of clothes! If you are going to be in the area, you should definitely stop by and shop!
After I dropped off my stuff, I went over to the Covington Library to pick up two Magic Tree House books that I had reserved. The staff is so nice there. They asked me to let my blog friends know about their story times. The info is on their website. While I was there, I also borrowed a movie for the kids. They let you borrow the movies for free for 1 day. I got one called Karate Dog. I had never heard of it but since my kids love movies about dogs, I thought they would like it.
I need to get the things that we need for the bonfire tomorrow. Amy has to babysit the girls tonight so I guess it will be me and the boys.
Here is a site to find fun things to do for FALL. I have always enjoyed Annie’s Pages and I hope you do too!
Have a great day and remember to play with your kids today. They will grow up faster than you realize! Make memories with them.
Yesterday, the UPS man came. At our house, it is always like Christmas when he comes because most of the time, he is bringing TOYS! One of the benefits of being a Discovery Toys Rep! LOL My kids LOVE having a toy mommy!
Anyway, he brought in 9 boxes! In 3 of those boxes were my kids Doodle Desks. What is a Doodle Desk? It is this really sturdy cardboard desk that has pictures for the kids to color and places to add photos….kind of like a scrapbook, only a desk! Here is the description from Discovery Toys:
Looks like a desk, functions like a desk. Yet it’s SO much more! And fun! It’s a unique 3-D canvas upon which kids can draw, color, write …even paste things like a scrapbook! Children can showcase their creative skills and personal life stories with 4 “favorite” themed panels – People, Places, Things & Memories. As they select favorites to feature, they refine memory skills and learn how to make important choices. In the process, they explore and express their inner thoughts and feelings, likes and dislikes, achievements and challenges – critical for emotional and social development. Easy to assemble corrugate desk measures 23 ”h x 27 ”l x 19 ”w. Assembled stool measures 12 ”h x 13”l x 13”w. (58cm x 69cm x 48cm, 30cm x 32cm x 33cm) From 4 years and Up
When I first saw this at our Convention this year, I didn’t think my kids would want them….but they did. After they came in yesterday, all 3 of them spent the entire afternoon working on coloring in the pre-drawn designs and talking about what pictures they were going to add to it! So, we now have 3 Doodle Desks! Here are the pictures of my children decorating their personal desks!
My daughter will be 13 next month and she loves it!
This son is 10.
And this one is 7.

Now they will have a very cool way to display their artwork and things that they do this school year!
See….my house really is a PLAY To Learn Home! Have a playful day everyone!
Well, after only starting school 5 weeks ago, we decided to go ahead and take a fall break along with the public school kids. We were not going to but since I offered to keep the little girl that we used to watch, we decided to take a week off from school and get some other things done. So…here we are! On Fall Break!
I am not sure how much of a break I will get this week.
Today I am cleaning out my office…..again! I can’t seem to keep it organized.
Tonight is my Discovery Toys TEAM meeting and since I am the TEAM Leader….I kinda have to be there! LOL
Tomorrow I will finish some things around the house. The kids want to sell some of their things on Ebay so I guess I get to help them do that.
Wednesday, I get to go have coffee with a new homeschool mom in our area! I love doing that!
Thursday I get to go set up my Discovery Toys booth at the Wee Ones Re-Runs Consignment Sale in Covington and then will be there on Friday meeting people!
Friday night will be fun. The homeschool families from our church, Raleigh Assembly of God, are coming over for a bonfire! We have about 20 families in the church that homeschool!
Why is it that when we have a “break”, we end up doing more than normal? LOL
Have a great week!
