I had a wild idea to paint my playroom/schoolroom…..oh my! The painting is going well but the taping off is killing me! The room is going to look awesome when we get it done so I will be sure to post pictures….but for now, I am going to go soak in the BeautiControl Mineral Bath stuff and let my sore muscles rest for awhile.

Wow!  It has been a busy month!  I can not believe that July is almost over and August is right around the corner. 

Let’s see, since I have not written about anything in July, I will just start with the 4th.  We had a pretty laid back day.  It was on a Wednesday this year….right in the middle of the work week.  William took the boys fishing at G.G.’s House and Amy went with her friend Dallas to her family’s celebration….I stayed home and cleaned house When William and the boys got home, we grilled out and it was yummy!  Amy wanted to be home for the fireworks so William went to get her before dark.  We had a nice little fireworks show and everyone went to bed happy.

The next week, Amy and Alex went to Kids’ Camp with our church, Raleigh Assembly, and they had a great time!  They left on Monday, July 9th and got home on Friday, July 13th….after one of the church vans broke down near Jackson, TN!  We were glad to have them back home.  It had been quiet here all week with them gone.

The following week, I went to Oakland, California for the Discovery Toys Convention.  I left on Thursday, July 19 and came back on Sunday, July 23.  Sunday was a LONG day of travel!  The entire trip was fabulous!  I was able to see all of the new fall products (50 of them!) and got to hear about the partnership that Discovery Toys and Hasbro now have.  We will be carrying some of the Hasbro products exclusively!  Now that is pretty exciting news!

Since Convention, I have been working on getting my customer files up to date so I can do my yearly customer service calls and working on organizing for school…which we will be starting in 2 weeks!

Alex left this morning for Pow Wow and will be home on Saturday afternoon.  He was SO excited! 

July has been a busy month of travel for our family!  I am glad that we all had the opportunity to do so but I hope we can all stay together a little more in August
